The Board of Trustees has adopted these policies for the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library, which serves the City of Charlottesville, and the counties of Albemarle, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson. These policies may be amended at any time by the Board of Trustees. In addition to the policies published in this manual, the Board of Trustees also supports the American Library Association's Library Bill of Rights and all ALA accepted interpretations, and the Freedom to Read Statement and its policy recommendations, Free Access to Libraries for Minors, and the Freedom to View Statement.
